Symbolism and history(r1)

A single large yellow star, symbolising the future, sits in the upper hoist of a blue field crossed by a diagonal red stripe edged in yellow, adopted in 2006 as a return to a design close to the flag flown between 1966 and 1971, with the royal blue changed to sky blue.
