How this site is made

Vexilla’s flag facts, the adoption years, color and symbol meanings, designer credits, and visual-similarity notes for all 195 flags, were researched and drafted with the assistance of an AI research and writing tool. They have not been independently verified by a human reviewer, and the site carries no author byline because no person has checked these entries line by line. We say this plainly rather than dress the site up as the work of an editorial team or attach a name that would imply a review that did not happen: pretending otherwise would be dishonest.

Sourcing and accuracy

Facts draw on widely documented vexillological history: national constitutions and flag laws, government adoption dates, and long-standing reference works such as Flags of the World and Wikipedia’s flag articles, which each country page links to for further reading. Where a detail is genuinely disputed or undocumented, for example a flag with no individually credited designer, the page says so directly rather than inventing a specific answer.

Corrections

Vexillology includes plenty of contested details, from disputed designer attributions to symbolism that varies by regional source. If you find an error, please email contact@veymaro.com and we will review and correct it.
